Italian Futurism Brand Identity
BRANDING, ILLUSTRATION, GRAPHIC DESIGN
2021

The goal of this project was to create a brand identity, with the topic of our choosing based off of a historic art movement or historic artist. For the first iteration of my project I chose the ground art movement, Italian Futurism. However, as I updated the project, I chose to stick with the art movement and focused on a specific artist. This was one of the first projects where I began my brand identity experience.
The Start
I initiated my creative journey by curating posters from my chosen artist, Fortunato Depero. The primary objective for these posters was to highlight his black and white collection, thus adhering to a color palette of black, white, and yellow. Once I had assembled the pieces, I proceeded to design a rasterized pattern, which served as a foundational asset for the overall brand identity. To complete the project’s aesthetic, I also located a photograph of Fortunato Depero and transformed it into a rasterized portrait, seamlessly integrating it with the project’s visual theme.
Printouts
The below are the mock-ups of the printout promotional material. They include tickets, mailer, and magazine advertisements.
Products
The below are mock-ups of product that align with the art exhibition. These would be sold at the Milwaukee Art Museum gift shop to celebrate the artist and the movement of Italian Futurism. For example, we have products like coffee cups, scarfs, and gift bags.
Outside Ads
To promote the exhibit several marking displays were designed and mocked-up. These include the below.
